Ive done my alignment in the past on a couple of old Jeeps with a strait axle up front and big tires which is not as picky as a ifs or 33's. I know a guy here in Sac that specializes with suspension and can do pretty much anything, he does alignment even on salvage cars that were wrecked and have tweeked suspension!. He wanted to do my "long arm" jeep alignment I was just to cheep to pay his labor. :) $150-200 to adjust it all. Now with the taco its a little different since im not rollin with the big dogs.. i only have 33's but im working slowly on making room for hopefully 37's . Im a little slow, no rush.
Last night I cut up an extra set of front flares... I just need the motivation to cut into my firewall

Yep, and if they are old military tires like the ones they use on Humvees, they are puncture resistant and heavy as hell. You wont have any kind of gas mileage and your engine will be working hard to turn them. 4:88 gearing or lower would probably help a bunch.

I average 14.7 mpg mixed, it's not that bad. With a tuned motor and 4.88's I can outrun a stock tacoma pretty easy.

If it makes you feel better I get about 10mpg offroad, but it's pinned most of the time. I think the weight of the tires and wheels doesn't matter much, it's rolling resistance that makes the biggest difference in mileage especially on the highway. My rig is also lighter than a stock one, and less pressure on the contact patch means less friction...at least that's my theory.

These tacos don't go fast. At least mine won't, maybe with a supercharger they could at least bury the speedo.

I see.. so thats how you get it @ 10mph, ill remeber to keep it under 100 :)
I dont think ive ever been over 80- 90 with mine! Ive had my share of tikets when I was 17/18 and was about to loose my license.. after exhibition of speed (over 100 in a 45), burnout in front of a cop not seeing him, speeding, "street racing" and other stuff I sold my rice rocket and now stay away from going faster than a few miles over the speed limit.

It's the go fast light. You can't go past 100 if the light isn't on
