    so my dad just met with the guy and called me, if everything goes like its supposed to I will have this truck for $14.5k. I AM SUPER STOKED! My christmas break just got a lot more exciting

    Bout the only thing good about 1st gens is the lower BJ has its own assembly
    tie rod ends are pretty cheap. LBJs are cheap on the web

    I think the outer tie rod ends I bought on rock auto for like 20 each. Didn't look at the inners though.

    Yeah the inners are about 30 each and with the stuff I've seen on the rest of the site I'll be going OEM for the LBJ.

    Welp it wasn't my inner or outer tie rods or slop in the steering column slip yoke... looks like the rack itself is causing my terrible steering/clunking issues.. :mad:

    $280 for a new AAE rack from rock auto. $6o of that was shipping, but it was the cheapest I found it anywhere.. Blah that sucked
