Im looking to purchase new rims. 16x8 and i plan on fitting either 265 or 285 width BFG KO2's

I dont want it to be too balloon looking as im not looking for that mud bogger look.

Which width should i go with for street/ baja look? im leaning more towards 265.

    pics would be great!

Do you have a first or 2nd gen? And if you don't want anything crazy just stick with the 265s I know a lot of people who run that and are happy with it

Oh if you think that's over done then go with a 265/70/17 I think that'll be a good median your looking for

Have you considered 255/85/16? Its about a 33x10, and wont rub like a 285 does. Looks good on tacomas.

Are you lifted? Also, what is the backspacing on the wheels you are buying? that plays a big factor too.. 285/75R16 should be fine with a wheel with a backspacing of 4" or less. if anything you may just come into a little fender rub which is an easy fix, however I'm running with a 3" lift and I tried on a friends 285s with a 4" BS rim and didn't rub at all. The 255/85R16s are tough too, but there's only a few tires out there in that size and they aren't cheap... those work better with the factory wheels because those WILL rub fender if they are sticking out too much. What I currently have are the 265/75R16, which I don't mind, but honestly, I'm going to go with 285s after I can afford new rims. I just want that wider stance and slightly taller tire

    I was torn between 265 and 285s and I'm glad I went with 285s. I have 285/75/16s on 16x8 4.5 BS Wheeler's steelies.

"Raptor Style" grill mod, aftermarket wheels, 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Authorities, TRD Shoulder pads on seat belts, no mud flaps, AVS Hoodflector bug shield *removed*, Dee Zee Ultrablack Bull Bar w/ license plate mount, dipped my fuel door for no reason, N-Fab Spare tire mount w/ full size matching spare, dipped eyelids onto my headlights for no reason, dipped my hood for no reason
This. I have 265's and for some reason they just look small to me and not as aggressive as I had hoped for.

Another thing I should mention is that with a smaller tire like mine, I've noticed that to me it looks like there is too much tire on the 75/16's and that makes it look even smaller. If I could redo, I would have gone 285/70/17
