Just checked my coolant for winter and noticed it is about 1/3 way up from the low mark. I am not sure where it was the last time I checked it. Don't know the last time I just. I know that is bad.

Is it normal for some coolant to evaporate after 7+ years?
I've never added any since it was new.

I also noticed mine was below the low mark after I changed my spark plugs tonight. I'd also like to hear from someone in the know.

My 05 was probably at that exact same level a couple years ago. I picked up the pink coolant from the toyota dealership and took it to full. It hasn't dropped at all since.

Technically, if your truck gets hot..it might steam a bit and it would evaporate out. Mine has lost a bit.

I figure it is normal. I just have been so bad about checking the fluid levels in this truck.
I usually by school coupon books from my brothers kids. And they have Firestone oil change coupons in them. I get the oil changed for just over $21.00 after tax. And that is with a synthetic blend. So I don't open the hood as much as I used to. Which is no excuse.

Maybe. Mine is always parked out side.
So I was thinking some might evaporate over the years?

you want to change coolant about every 3 to 5 yrs as it breaks down.

Exactly. The water will evaporate leaving behind the ethylene glycol. It won't cool as effectively, will have a higher freeze point, and just makes a nasty mess of the cooling system. Change it every three or four years to keep your motor happy.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that since you haven't kept up on coolant, your brake fluid hadn't been touched? If so, get your coolant flushed along with your brake fluid. Your brake fluid should be clear.
