Ok. So I had a conversation with my brother about my 07 V6 TRD Manual Short bed.

I think I've hit on all the major issues.

    1) Replaced a front wheel bearing.
    2) Painted the frame with Eastwoods Rust Encapsulator. Yes it was starting to rust. See previous posts.
    3) Throwout bearing is chirping away - going to schedule it to have it replaced today with the TSB. $1200. Not happy bought the extended warranty which ran out in January.

I've read quite a bit of the forums here and I think that about covers any major issues.

Post any other issues that we as 2nd gen owners might run across the longer we keep our truck.

Keep in mind you'll have to peel my cold dead hands from my truck :D

I have. A lot of the TSB's out are hit and miss. The ones I listed seem to be ones that most of us will hit sooner or later.

I also had the rear springs replaced (TSB) but added airbags anyway since I carry a camper.

Made the appointment for Wednesday (17th). 92K. Total cost to me is $1170.

Very good dealership. Should be about the time to replace the clutch anyway but am going to be pissed if the clutch has more than 30% on it. No slippage but the throwout bearing is constantly engaged and chirping.

You forgot how it rides, handles, and rattles like a truck. And even though it is a truck since it's not as fast or a well handling as a Ferrari then therefore it's a pile of garbage and we should start countless threads about the aforementioned bad handling and lack of speed. That is all:D

depending on your driving habits, I'd bet your clutch still has 50% or more. There's a guy on here with 375k miles on the original clutch! Also, are you replacing the TO bearing with OEM? Have you looked into URD? Theirs is supposed to be a permanent fix.

I looked long and hard at the URD throwout bearing and fix with the Stage 2 clutch.

What sold me on the Toyota fix was the positive reviews I read everywhere. Also they called for the replacement of the release cylinder as well. When I added up the cost of $700 for the parts from URD, a transmission jack and release cylinder I was up to $900. For $1170 I can have someone else do it (would take me a solid weekend then some).

The dealer also warranties the fix for 60K/60 months.
