Yea it's the passenger side. And yeah I don't think I'm going door to door is a mainly farms I would probably end up shot for trespassing than getting an answer. I informed the cops they made me drive a half hour back into PA to fill a police report out and then told me they doubt anything will happen unless there's more complaints. Atleast the police report should help with my insurance on getting it fixed.

It wasn't a fire hydrant I wish it was the same door tho. Oh well yay for having a big ball of putty in my door when I get it fixed not gonna be happy about that if it wasn't bare metal I'd leave it as conversation starters but it's bare metal. Yea I wouldn't be as mad if it was in the car but I Def wouldn't of filed a police report if I would of been they would of gave me a ticket for my tint lol and if we would of been in the car it would of hit the window not the door

Modern "pellet guns" or "air rifles" as we call them, shoot all kinds of different ammunition. Most of them look like little bullets with no casing

Most INS companies require a police report to be filed for this type of damage. You would have had to make the trip back anyway.

Some of the new Airsoft rifles are really nice and really expensive.

Welcome! Where in DC are you stationed/living? Check out the Northern Va thread too. There's not a whole lot of livelyhood in DC unfortunately. I live in Montgomery County and work in DC/Va. Maybe ill see you around!

We need to have a meetup soon.. Bunch of new guys lately.

Thanks for your service btw!

I'm stationed by the Navy Yard in DC. And absolutely! I'm originally from Texas and all this east coast stuff is new to me. I need to update photos of my Taco though, I've done a few new things with it. I went to the Shendoah National park Recently, very cool place, but I wish there was more of a trail type place where o would actually get to use 4X4.

Oh nice, I have a project site not far from there haha. Yea offroading isn't as readily available around here as it is out west, but there are still a decent number of places that people go pretty regularly. I've ever personally been, but theres Rausch Creek in PA, Shoe Creek, George Washington National Forest, the Cove, and Flagpole Knob in VA, and a newer one called Red Cloud Off-Road in Woodbridge right outside DC. A few of the NoVa guys have been there some and say its not bad, especially for the price.

Need some opinion how do I fix this? Is the fix just going to be body filler an paint or what? Waiting to hear back from my insurance I have a $250 deductible he's said my insurance will raise tho. I will lose my loss free savings and it will also go up a little because of the claim even if it's a comp case. He's thinking the loss free savings that I will lose is between 10-15% he's looking to get me the exact number. Just looking for options on how to fix it. My dad's friend has a body shop an would prob putty an paint it do cheap but do I go that route or what. Because of the impact im not sure any dent or ding removal techniques will work in this case I may be wrong that's why I ask yous. Thanks

Putty and paint. Cost will be around $300. Maybe less because a friend of the family is doing the work. Remember they need to feed their families as well.

Or you could leave it, add a few more, and paint a confederate flag on the hood... haha

putty and paint would be my guess. They could probably get the dent out, but it would be time consuming and its such a small dent I wouldn't think it'd really be worth it. I'd also take Tom's word over mine though.
