Morning all. 11 hours and 677 miles later, back from NY yesterday afternoon. Got to see a real mother of an accident on I84 in CT on Saturday, and watched some guy in a brandy-new Mercedes absolutely destroy a front tire and wheel on a pothole at 85mph on 495 yesterday. He blew the tire and shattered the wheel, and I thought he was headed for the ditch. Those cars must have some pretty stellar traction control.

I open carry when I'm hiking or bush camping. Rabies is fairly prevalent in our area the last 10 years or so, and I'd rather not have to get those shots. :notsure:

Other than that I think it's for those with small minds and smaller wangs.

my feeling on open carry is this, i don't want to wear a 1911 on my thigh to intimidate moonbats, but i do want it to be legal for the sole purpose of accidental or minor showings. for example i carry IWB so it wont poke out from under my shirt, but if open carry was actually tolerated in mass i would carry OWB (more comfort imo) and keep it under my shirt and not worry if it gets exposed by the wind or bending in a store or what ever. i think the people who do it just to argue with cops are asses, but i should not get in trouble for accidental showings.

Meh, I equate that to hunting and that would actually be defined as hunting as the EPA defines it.

    Lol. I don't generally go actively hunting with a S&W 5906, haha!

Edit: Although I do carry when I'm hunting, mostly because you never know what kind of people you'll meet in the woods.
Had some conversations w/the local wardens about some of the dangerous bastards they've run across, and it made me more cautious.

I hear you, but the EPA defines hunting as being in the area of game and having the means to dispatch them. Hopefully you never have an issue with it, but technically a game warden could hassle you for it.

Yeah, but Maine's an open carry state, and I've got my CCW permit anyway. I've run into game wardens before while I was open carrying on a hike or a camping trip, and they've never even asked.
I can't imagine they'd bother hassling me about it unless I was actually carrying a field dressed animal (which if I thought it was rabid I'd definitely never do)

I think he was implying that if you :jerkoff: enough that both of your arms are sore the next day that you'll need to cut back or you'll go blind.

    Control-C, then Control-V. Took me 10 seconds.
