    The first I have seen that color combo and it looks fantastic. Are you going to replace the fenders or fill the clip holes?

    I hear ya, I order 2 pair of orage and the mount pins on 12/2 but didn't receive an order confirmation or anything. I contacted them a few days later to get the low down and Melissa advised that it'd be about 2 weeks before they'd be in but my order was definitely in line. I don't mind waiting at all, I just wish the process was going a bit cleaner.

    Oh well, I know they're worth the wait.

    Well, got an email from KC and Melissa..bad news to those who have not placed an order yet, but, they are happy to be offering another GB in the future!!

    "Out of Stock of Everything. Almost sold out of everything that’s on the boat waiting in the harbor, strike from unions in ports holding up shipping. HQ in AU is trying to ramp up production, but the military is buying all they can get and quantities are scarce.

    We filled all the orders we could and are now on 100% backorder.

    We have to put a temporary stop on the group buy!!!!! Not because we don’t want to give anyone else a discount, it’s just that we can’t keep up with the backorders and the next shipment after this won’t be here at least 6 more weeks! Tell the members I will do the group buy again in the spring for 30 days and we are thrilled to have their orders and enthusiasm, the currently backordered sets will eventually be here but it looks like not before Christmas, and that we greatly appreciate their patience. Just difficult to get a small batch made item half way around the world.

    Hopefully this doesn’t impede on anyone’s plans too much and tell everyone we said Merry Christmas from Maxtrax!"

    Probably because people came out of the woodwork and they got a bunch more sales at the end of the year. I didn't even have MaxTrax on my "Recovery gear to get" list before this GB showed up.

    Business-wise, they are probably better off pre-selling all of their stock and get it off the books and turned into income like this.

    I'm sure if you just googled "Maxtrax" and "code" this thread came up first, so I could see that being possible.

    I figured since the bumper/winch combo are a little ways down the road, these are perfect self recovery in the mean time. The Expedition Overland YouTube series said these are faster and quicker than a winch recovery (obviously depending what situation you got yourself into. These won't work crawling up a sheer rock cliff).

    yea from what i hear that military contract really drained the consumer availability of maxtrax...i was surprised to see them even agreeing to the GB in the first place...

    and i'm glad i placed my order when i did :D

    i received an email from melissa, so sounds like i got my name on that list before it closed :cheers:

    Agreed, I am holding out as long as I can on making the truck heavier with armor (but will definitely be doing a bumper and additional light before moving to Colorado).
    MaxTrax, tow strap, snatch strap and necessarily mounting points will be enough to get out of a loose traction spot with another vehicle around (I hope).
