    Small lift.
    Hey I got a 99 Toyota Tacoma. Auto, 4x4, 6 cyl.
I bought 33 x 10.5 tires because I wanted bigger tires and everyone I asked said they would fit. The front tires now rub. I cut back the fender and even cut off as much of the body weld as was safe. When I turn most of the way (left or right) over rough terrain, the corner of the tire still rubs which makes offroading annoying/bad for everything. Theres about a half inch of clearance when turning the wheels when its parked. So should I try to sell these tires and go back to 32's or put in a leveling kit? I know next to nothing about leveling/ lift kits so I wouldn't want to do it myself. Any feedback is appreciated thanks.

I've attached a pic of the suspension to help with the lift kit idea.

Oops... I'd go with the leveling kit. I also know nothing about those.. Good luck man

It'll self clearance if you go fast enough right?

In all seriousness I'd keep them and go with a small ome or bilstein suspension lift

Don't listen to these guys and their smart ass responses. A lift doesn't make your wheel wells bigger.

OP, you're going to have to do the complete pinch weld mod. There's a good write up here:

    http://www.expeditionswest.com/equipment/tacoma/bfg_mt_km.html

Probably followed by some time with your favorite BFH.

Also, I'm more confused/concered about the top plate of your coilover. Something doesn't look right in that pic, but it could be the angle. Can you get another pic?

It doesn't make your wheel wells bigger, but it does allow more clearance to fit those big ass tires, right?

Only at ride height. Under compression he'll still be hitting the same spot. And 33x10.50 aren't really all that big.

If i recall correctly, it's been posted multiple times in the 255/85/r16 owners experience thread, that a 33" tire would fit with no lift, but permanent modifications are required.
