    Never want to weld over paint, it contaminates the weld causing porosity among other imperfections leading to a weaker weld. However you can paint the sliders then I will wire wheel the spots I'm going to weld to and it will all be good haha

    OK, so these are the legs. There is 4 per slider and they came welded already to the post, which is good. I just dont know if I can paint the whole thing or leave "just the tips" unpainted for the welding. I would also leave a couple spaces unpainted on the slider itself where I'd attach the post to.

    ok, you guys have WAY more tools then I do lol. I just didnt want to make your job harder than its going to be (that is, trying to show me how to weld haha). i guess I can paint it all and you fix it :) Is there a "best" option for paint. im just buyin it from lowes probably since i know they will get scratched and used. do i prime it then paint a couple coats or just go at it with a lot of black spray paint?

    Use some very ruff sandpaper and scrub on it to make a profile for the paint to stick to it. Then prime it a few times, then a couple of finish coats and you will be good. As far as those little pieces I wouldn't paint them, I'll sand blast them before I weld them on and it will make painting pretty easy

    We have a cafeteria at work and there is a set price for a "breakfast sandwich". So i wanted to test if they would charge extra for getting a bigger sandwich.

    Simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich.
    Texas toast on the grill instead of regular sandwich bread
    2 fresh fried eggs instead of precooked scrambled eggs.
    2 slices cheese
    2 handfuls of bacon instead of their usual 3 pieces. yes, LOTS of bacon.
