hey guys i wasn changing my stock filter to k&n filter, and noticed on that there is a double filter system on the newer models taco's? the one you change is in the intake, and the one that stays or doesnt take out is closer to the trottle bodys, i have not seen this before. is it double protection or what it it? does it take out?

IIRC, it offers more protection, but many have taken it out.

FWIW, I have seen dyno tests with it and with it removed. There was no difference between the tests. I tried to search for them, but the guy that did the tests didnt post them. If you want you can send an e-mail to "Gadjet" at www.urdusa.com
He has done extensive testing on the 4.0 motors and can give you the information.
