A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.

I am still running stock gears. I did quite a bit of research on this topic before lifting my truck. There are plenty of Taco owners that are still running stock gears without any problems. On the other hand, the ones that have swapped seems to like their new setup also. I can attest to my current situation as I am still running stock. I still have plenty of power and cruising speed. The only issues that I have are that my tranny will hunt for a gear at 65 miles an hour and the obvious, my speedo is off. I am considering flashing my ECM to change the shift points and address the tranny issue. At this point I will not be be swapping out my gears. But from a mechanical stand point it is the proper thing to do.

When I had stock gears on 35s. My trans had a hard time finding the right gear going up inclines. Just at the foot of the incline, it would already down shift. Then up shift halfway up. Then back down to get over the top. Lol

I'm not sure what dealerships are doing about this problem. They might re flash the computer. But if they don't, I would like to see the owners face when they drive around town like that

    Not a good surprise!

I got the 6 speed so I don't have the problem.. Then again I only got the 33s because I heard about the problem with the tranny and 35s... I could still tell a power difference when I got my 33s while I shift tho

Just my .02 cents here, we could meet at this gas station 5223-5269 S Gulfway Dr, Sabine Pass, TX 77655. We could get any last minute essential and take off from there. Not sure what time everyone is feeling but we we went we based it off of when high and low tide would be in.

That sounds doable. I'm bringing all my recovery gear and enough food and water for 48 hours in case schit gets cereal. I'm an eagle scout so "Be Prepared" was nailed into my head on a daily basis.

I don't have any recovery gear just a pull strap from harbor freight I do have and extra 17" wheel and tire from an FJ I can bring aside from my spare and can also bring food and extra gas can. Anyone have a portable grill? I can bring stuff to make hot dogs and such.
