    I think my quote my misinterpreted. As a Seahawks fan I was just throwing out the next useless troll line that appears in every one of these arguments. The agreement between Seattle and Texas A&M came long after Seattle was selling the 12th Fan jersey. Trolls can't figure out the fact that the jersey was retired and started being sold in 1984, 5 years before A&M filed the trademark and over 20 years before they got a hair up their ass to take advantage of the Seahawks publicity during their first Super Bowl run. If it was such a concern for them they would have been more aggressive years earlier in stopping Seattle from using the term. The jersey has been around a long time and long before the agreement between Seattle and A&M took place.

    It could be a while before SF sniffs the Superbowl again. From what I can tell, 49er faithful don't have confidence in Kaepernick. Harbaugh is not coming back (who is a hell of a coach, but it sounds like his personality clashes with almost everyone). The owner cares more about revenue than winning. The brand new stadium offers absolutely zero home field advantage. The 2013 draft was a disaster. And the majority of their pro bowl players that gave them so much success are past their prime. It could be a while to right that ship.
