I had one of the senior inspectors, either Byran or Brian, I can't remember exactly. But since I made vacuum formed shrouds for mine they look more factory made then a bolt in projector.

 

I hope my retros pass lol..ill prolly take um out tho, my inspector is a cool guy...turns the car/truck on checks for any engine lights or whatever turns it off and says ok pass lol.

 

damn, wondering if i should chance it when i go to recon to see if they will pass them. i hope they dont take my recon sticker lol.

 

You gotta hot recon first anyway for the bumpers.... try get it listed on your recon (like nate). That way safety can't say crap..

 

Anyone here ever get an alignment from firestone? How are they? Thinking about doing the lifetime alignment deal. Since I also plan on lifting my truck in the future.

Question for you guys with diff drops and pelfrey skid. What kind washers/spacers are needed? and how thick?

 

I don't know of anybody running diff drops with pelfrey skids...

 

dont bother with diff drops

they don't work on 2nd gens

 

They work fine... At changing the CV angle by .25*... and ruining the fit of your skids... And potentially getting hung up on rocks

they just rotate the diff


mine didnt help at all either

but im just too lazy to take that thing off

 

I think miles got it to work, not sure how thick the spacers were.

 

Had some fun the other day... no permits needed lol

I tried installing my skid with a diff drop and was getting frustrated with the clearance issue between the diff and the skid so I ended up taking the diff drop out. The truck drives exactly the same as with the diff drop, no vibes or anything. I'm kind of glad I uninstalled it.

It did seem like it would have took too much washers/spacers to make the skid clear with the diff drop. Maybe the diff drop I had was larger than others?
