You can see I fed the wire through a hole I drilled in the rain gutter. Then fed it down in between the gutter and the weather stripping of the door, down into where the fender and hood meets, into the engine bay where the hood hinge is. The hole I drilled was barely big enough to shove the wire through for a good seal.

Edit: And I did it the hard way. I drilled into the cab. It was a TOTAL BITCH, to mount it like that. I realized afterwards, I could've just made the bottom of the bracket with a little 3/8" maybe flat tab, and drilled/bolted it to the rain gutter. Would've been MUCH easier to do that. And no chance of water getting into the cab/headliner. I would still seal it on the rain gutter too. Even though there's still the channel from the weather stripping to let it run down that. Always better to be safe than sorry.

I installed them with one of those nut sert tools.

I also used white marine sealant and goop'd up all around the nut serts and used thread sealant on the bolts...hopefully it wont leak, time will only tell.

Thanks. They're ok. Was my first fab job on my own really.
And they're led strips I put on the bar for running lights.

And recently wired up these rigid srq amber on the hood for running lights too to match, that turn on with the dtrls, witch switch off when I turn on the headlights.

Well it wasn't at first. But after hearing your comment and others before.....

But it does look much better in person. Kind of a test run to see if anyone liked it. I get positive comments all the time on the street though. So Idk. It's hit or miss. Some like, some don't... I plan to take off the strips at least, eventually. And the amber srqs will be getting replaced with 4.5" led light cannons. As soon as I hear back from Chas of mrt. Trying to get a hold of him on here to see if he can hook me up with a deal. He said he remanufactures them by hand after getting them in from his supplier. Being that they are in need of some better components/soldering inside, coming from overseas I think he said. I may just end up calling him one day. Tired of waiting.

Does anyone have any output shots of Amber bars in actual use for their purpose? Like in dusty/foggy conditions? I'm curious as to how well they really work in penetration.

We just picked up AVEC LED Light Bars, consensus is they are pretty good for the price. Anyone have an opinion?
