I'm not sold on McElwain just yet. We'll find out if really is a good coach soon enough though.

 

Your logic of why Collins would be good at Florida is the same logic as to why McElwain would be good at Florida.

 

No not even close. He was coaching in the Mountain West.

 

He will be fine. Yet another Saban crony implanted into the head coaching ranks. He would be better if he'd gotten Ole Miss' DC....

 

With one of the worst programs in that conference. He had nobody to coach and took them from 3-9 before he got there to a 10 win program in 3 years. Doesn't matter where you do that, it's impressive.

 

He was set to make $1.2 million for this year and next year if he stayed through his contract extension.

 

Something I dont think you understand.. If MS.st won it all this year you know how many players and coaches would be gone next year.. Look up the starting player loses FSU went through in the off season.

 

Lol. I understand that just fine. As it stands right now it is possible we lose a few more assistant coaches. What you probably don't understand is how our roster looks right now and that Mullen has expressed interest several times throughout his career that he enjoys MSU and has asked for an extension with Stricklin.

The only players that have potential leave early for the NFL are Benardrick McKinney, Dak, and Josh Robinson. Out of the 3, McKinney has the best shot at being a top 2 round pick. Dak previously said he would leave if he was a 1st round pick and might consider leaving if he was 2nd or 3rd round. With the way his season ended, I'm not sure Dak would leave just yet. He's suing a T-shirt company for using his likeness per NCAA regulations to preserve his eligibility for next year. Had he not sued, he would have lost eligibility. As for Josh, he hasn't publicly announced any intention to deal with the draft that I've seen and his second half of the season wasn't anywhere near as good as his first half.

 

Bobo is interviewing at Colorado State for the head coaching job.

 

Apparently spurrier said he has 2-3 years left and has already lost 6 players so far.

 

I'm ok with that. Let us keep Scott Frost!

 

I'd like to see Richt take over the play calling again. That won't happen, but if bobo leaves that's what I'd like to see.

Everyone knows I hate Bobo, but I thought this was one of his cleanest years in a while as far as play calling goes. Other than the SC game at the goal line. There were a few others during the year, but I didn't complain about his nearly as much as normal. Lol.

 

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu suffered a possible torn ACL yesterday in practice. Might miss rose bowl game now.
