Trying to buy aftermarket rims and had someone tell me that aftermarket 16 rims will not fit over my calipers. Is this true?

The calipers on our trucks are wide. Some aftermarket 16" rims will rub them depending on the design of the rim.

Also, OP mine are 16s and I got them from discount tire. Your best bet is to find ones you like and just call the manufacturer and ask if they will clear.

I just got 16" wheels put on from discount tire. They fit with no issues. I do have a different offset and backspace from the factory wheels though. Most reputable tire places should be able to tell you what fits and what doesn't.

16s fit my 2013 Off Rd just fine however Dick Cepek's only advice was that 17's will work just fine but 16s are questionable and a test fitting is required?

Not being able to find a place that carried these rims here in Maine I thought I was SOL until I found the rims I wanted on Amazon with free shipping and no hassle return policy :D

    Good Luck with your choice

Got my 16" wheels from discount tire as well. They fit fine... But it would be a good idea to call and make sure.

Taco has been sold. I no longer check this account :(
I run Method Racing's NV 305 wheels in a 16" on my 2011 TRD O/R. They clear just fine.

    Edit: 16 x 8 w/ 4.5" backspacing

Your wheels are amazing. My first choice when I get them. Second would be fn five star.

I have seen both the nv and mb352 in person and I think the mb is very nice almost an exact copy, however the nv just had a more finished look to it.

OP, all wheels fit differently. some wheels you like may not fit but can sometimes be fixed with a spacer. Check them first if you are buying them used. If buying new it doesn't really matter because any good store should exchange them.
