I know there are whole bunch of 2016 issues on what kind of trucks are coming out.. true plenty of rumors out there but there are some facts are found in each makers by looking up there websites
    * The Taco still in the air on their remake looks and motors.. tortmenting us

    * Chevy/GMC: coming out a copy of taco shaped truck with deisel and small dinty motors.. would it able to stop the issues they have in the past?

    * Frontier: meh.. they dont change much

    * now the Ford: they are coming out new ranger now called f-100, not alot of detail on that but the looks is promsing.

    * dodge.. not a thing there.
if the toytoa get smart.. fix the problems on the gen 2 trucks and stop removing stuff what we used to have on the past 3 yrs models ( such as temp/comp rearveiw mirror, etc)

Yeah, right. The Ranger is dead in the US.
Ford wants you to buy an F150 or move to Australia.

Actually not true. Ford is working on bringing the ranger back. Might not have the same name but same concept
Tacoma has plenty of issues as well.. The auto trans sucks and the power numbers and gas mileage for the engine suck. and its about 5-7 years outdated, the frames rust, squeaks, etc.

Yeah the rust issues was the worst one. The auto trans is nothing wrong with it. Make sure it is top off before taking delivery. What to expect on mileage.. common on all trucks. Ya know shouldnt run like a pussy car where a truck is suppose to for work and hauling.
For the minnor issues like the squeaks etc, the corporation should have done a better job preventing that to happened. Tje motor is best in long term run compare to ford 5.6 L i had on the ford150. By the time i reached 98000 miles. Plenty of things needs to be fix.
    My two cents

I wish that was the case, but I have spoken to many dealership managers and service managers. I even chat with a lead designer who was the one that designed the awesome Australian Ranger.
Ford management saw that the Ranger and F150 were becoming the same size (their words not mine), and they didn't want the Ranger to cut into F150 sales. They spent a ton of money on the new F150, while the Ranger just got older. In the end, they just didn't see a market for the Ranger, so they killed it.
Now, given the success of the Australian version, they might research a quad cab "sport" version which they will call the F100; but for all purposes the small truck which carried the name Ranger is dead. Just like the older smaller Tacos.
I had 13 great years from my Ranger, and would have purchased the Aussie version in a second. But, Ford thought they knew more than I do. I now have a better truck, and it would take a lot to get me back.
