Jake, Have you installed the BAMF rear shock relocation kit to run 12" shocks? Is that something you'd be interested in doing?

 

My bet is someone took a lousy shot during rifle season and never found him. The decomp looked just about right to have died during rifle season. Could be a cougar kill too though. There have been cougar sitings in that area.

At least I'll have something to use my beetles on! The damn things finally showed up.

$90k isn't to bad for a shotgun. Oh, to be filthy rich. I need to go buy a lottery ticket haha

I wish I could make it up this week! Just way too much going on right now. I'll shoot you a PM to see if we can work out a deal when I'm ready to get them welded up.

 

Are you guys talking about Cab Mount chop? They did quote me $200 for that($100 per side). $400 was to install Total Chaos Cam Tab Gussets (which requires dropping LCA's and removing half axles).

 

That's insane! You could at least just grind it off and cut out the pieces/buy new ones and then take it to any mechanic with a welder for way cheaper.

 

MT is expensive. They charged me 80 for two light tabs. It's their shop hourly rate. I was in a hurry so I said fuck it. Then they had to get permission to weld on the AllPro bumper from the boss man. Then kept asking me questions about my sliders. Since theirs are trademarks.

 

What were they asking?

Who made them, etc?

Might've been trying to get enough information to go after the fabricator with a lawsuit.

Anyone have any hook up for wheels/tires? Getting to be that time

 

I'll like to add to the Metal tech experience as well - never had any work done by them as I felt the same way as you guys. I ended up doing the CMC myself and I didn't cover it back up. I've also asked them how much to do the TC cam tab gusset as well as the spindle gusset and I never replied back to them.

When the time comes, I'm going to give NW Cruisers an email and see what they have to see. I've got other things I want done as well - until next year.

And I'm with Mitch..anyone have hook ups for tires? My wheels are beat to shit but I like them, unless I can get a hold of the bronze TRD fake headlocks for cheap.

 

You're gonna use a dremel to cut through it? Don't you think that'd be pretty hard on it...

I dunno.. Those things are awfully thin.. And they spin really fast. And they hurt when they shatter.

Might be a good excuse to get a 4.5" angle grinder and some .035 wheels..

Kind of intriguing what you said about MetalTech asking questions. I don't know the particulars of their trademark, but I do find it somewhat shitty that they're trying to go on a witch hunt.
