    I got a Yaesu FT-60. Wasn't cheap but has tons of features. Programming cable isn't necessary but makes it way easier to program channels by name or frequency. It has a keypad that makes every feature of the radio adjustable but I can turn it on and select frequencies and that's it. Marscap mod was easy also
