    Out of curiosity what gear should I hit most trail hills in? I feel like if I can get enough speed then second should be fine. I am worried about having to down shift to first. You have to be going really slow to down shift into first, but I feel like I would lose a ton of momentum also.

    How hard is the test for to get a HAM radio license?

    I am talking about a deserty type terrain. I have some hills in mind that get pretty steep but they aren't rocky rocky. Just desert dirt and kind of gravelly. I really want to slowly progress through the learning phase at an ok speed. I don't want to try and blast through the learning phase just so I can break my truck.

    There used to be a couple trails my buddy would hit up the Crest. I used to go along for the adventure. But I dont believe that they were marked or anything really. We would just see them and turn off onto them. There is one up there that you can get to through the Monte Cristo camp site. It is a fun trail, not too long though. Also there used to be a really cool fire trail that we found out near Sunland/Tujunga area that once you go far enough into the mountains there is a jail looking place that says stay out and shit. That trail used to be a cool day/night trail, and it was pretty long. To wrap this up though Idk if they have slammed gates on these trails as I have not been in a long time, but there werent any in place before.

    i used an APP (free vdrsion) to study along with reading the actual book. the general test is very easy. i spent an hour or two a few nights in a row reading/studying thebook.

    just dont go to the Norwalk Radio club at the fire station for testing...they are all old and have no personalities what so ever
