Did a meguiars headlight resto thing, re-aimed my HIDs so I don't blind everyone anymore, touched up my front bumper paint and painted my grille with the same bedliner as the bumper so it matches now. Pretty successful day so far.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
    Nice wheels/tires.
Here's my project. Obviously haven't done the red yet. The black metallic can look silver to deep black depending on lighting.

They are, but I've also seen multiple people go mini, then re-do to FX-R. It's like going 5100 and aal, then full MT. Or MT, then LT. You're nervous about jumping in balls deep from the beginning, but it saves you money in the long run. If you have any doubts, go for the bigger option. I wanted one and done, so I'm running FX-R stage III. Of course both are better than stock, but I'd suggest really considering the FX-R. Look up comparison shots of outputs, stock to mini is like mini to FX-R. I know one guy personally with mini's, and he wanted FX-R after seeing the difference in person.

    Hahaha ...... young one ....... That's great
They are easier. More or less they are just bolt in. I have the mini H1s and they weren't hard to build. Although I've had a lot of annoying problems with them but those have been fixed with the newer models. The fxr is not just a bolt in but doesn't require much more work. You need to talk yourself into getting the fxr kit, especially since you are buying brand new headlights and down time is irrelevant. *cough* Christmas present *cough*

Did you build them yourself? And this is why I bought the fxr kit. Just seeing the projector itself gives me great confidence in the light output difference. The mini series uses a 2.5" lens and fxr series uses a 3". It may not sound like a lot but it's much bigger when comparing them side by side.
