My truck was just in at Toyota to be inspected for the frame recall. The frame failed which is okay with me, but the bad news I am #126 in line to get my frame replaced. They said they don't have any frames yet, and they don't think it could be done until June.. Really bummed about that as I was planning on putting on a lift as soon as it was done. What's everyone else's status on their frame replacement? :(

I would highly highly doubt that.. Especially for free. I don't mind doing it myself I just wanted to have the new frame first.

OME 3" lift up Front, LR UCA's, All-Pro Expo leafs in back, 17" XD Addicts with 285/70/17s, OEM Roof Rack, Westin Light Bar, Relentless Tailgate plate, Weathertech's, Blue Sea Fuse Box, Iggy's Switch Holder, Pioneer avh-3300bt Radio, LED Interior/License Plate Lights
Actually I have already seen a couple of people that had dealers offer to install parts. Things like shocks and UCA's are already off of the frame so it is not any extra work for them to put them on during assembly, they shouldn't charge you for it.

That's not my problem. I just can't believe they are back ordered that much and I can't get this thing fixed till June.

This is one reason I'm glad I don't live in a salty state! Down in OK, we rarely have any rust.

I'm considering selling it and just buying a 2013, spraying up the frame myself and no issues. Want gray and the newer body style anyway.

my dealer said they'd put a lift on for free if i want to upgrade (already have a lift). they've had my truck for almost 10 weeks, and told me it would take 6-8. don't know where i am as far as # in line though.

Hell, if that's the case I'd wait until the new frame and then use that as a promoting tool! "1st gen Tacoma, like new interior, new frame ready for lift installation"

    haha

I was told anything I wanted to do to the truck while it was apart the labor was free, just had to provide or purchase the parts.
