    When my truck was illegal (no front plate), soon as I saw a cop flip a bitch or pull out I would just tuck into the nearest business like nothing should be happening. Promptly turn off and exit the vehicle to go shopping or pump gas. This is before they turned on their lights of course. I only had HWP follow me into a gas station once. Run my plates as I pumped gas and then backed up and left me alone. That was on 4th of July when they up the amount of cops on duty in town (A stupid amount, you can't drive anywhere without passing 3 of em). I knew they were just looking for any excuse to check for a DUI.

    Now that I have the front plate on properly I wouldn't care and just let them pull me over. There is nothing out of regs and I never speed. Plus I have the attorney on speed dial :eek:.

    Funny story, in Moab I took off my rear license plate to not smash it on the trails. I totally forgot and drove past cops plenty of times all week without a rear plate :D They did nothing.

    Moab tends to have lots of unregistered extremely un-street legal rigs driving around all the time though. They let a lot slide there for the tourism, but every once in a while they start nailing everyone. I assume either to meet quotas or make a little extra money for the department.

    Yeah, I doubt most of the time I pulled off that I was actually about to be pulled over. Local cops never gave me any problems for the front plate. Highway patrol was all over it though. I was just being cautious, it would probably just be a fix it ticket regardless :p.
