    2.5 toytec, bilstein 5100 black grille, black lights, partially shaved decals remaning ones black, , trd fj wheels, sirius, Ipod interface, pre-filter delete
    Its almost time to change my plugs again. I put Denso's in the first time. Wondering what brands you guys use, like better?

    getting there....
    i stick with stock densos.........no real difference in performance or anything using iridiums, they just cost more.

    X2. I have had a few people have issue with their engines running poorly after installing the iridium, and platinum plugs.

    FWIW, In a non FA engine, the colder plug make it more likely to have an incomplete burn in the cumbustion chamber, and can affect performance.

    ARB front, All Pro rear, Hella's, Trail Gear sliders - welded on, 3" Sway-A-Way front & rear suspension, front mud flaps -gone.
    I just installed Champion plugs...runs fine. Still checking the mileage with the first few tanks.

    When it comes to Toyota, stick with OEM. There is a good reason Toyota is good. Stick with OEM.

    it shows you that the price is same for all spark plugs...

    I haven't had any issues after installing the iridium plugs. maybe those individuals that had issues set the gap incorretly?

    after talking to gadget from urd he said that running them wouldn't cause any problems...I have already checked the plugs 2 after installing them cause I was installing the APR X-1 cam gears...nothing wrong with the spark plugs that I saw...

    Sorta begs the question there. OEM is 3 NGK's and 3 Densos. :cool:

    I found on the second gens, the Denso plugs hold their gap better than the NGK's. $0.02

    Autozone or Advance sell Denso? I honestly don't know because I rarely own a vehicle long enough anymore to get to where I need to change the plugs (many have 100K intervals now). I'm at 29,200 so I'll be doing this in another month myself.

    nothing wrong with posting...that's how we learn the correct way and the wrong way to do things...the pro's and con's to every product for our truck...:D

    I found it very odd the 1st time I pulled the plugs...

    I just change my spark plugs every 3 years or every 33K miles or so...more so for piece of mind...when I pulled the original spark plugs at 33K miles there was no carbon build up or damage at all to them...

    This ^^^^^ is why I recomend the OEM plugs.

    Dont belive the hype, people. If your truck is mostly stock, and running fine, use the right plugs.

    I had the 3+3 NGK/Denso plugs. I went the the oem Denso's. I hadnt heard much about the plug choices for our trucks for these truck which is why I posted this thread, and now Im stickin with the Densos. On ebay right now guy selling a tune up package: 6 denso plugs, air filter, oil filter, and crush washer for $35, thats not bad, might get it.

    I haven't had any issues either with iridiums. I installed the NGK's at 80,000 miles.
