Does it look like the old 3 piece rear window or 1 piece to you? Kinda looks like a one piece to me with a tree reflection.

^3-piece slider. Zoom in and you can see the recessed window frame. Looks to be carryover from 2nd gen, along with the 3rd brake light.

Same here. I'm sure this new gen of Tacos will look good, but I think the 2nd gens are the best looking. Just bought my 15 recently and heard about them releasing a brand new one for 16 and got kind of worried. But not so much anymore. Im really happy with mine!

hmmm that's sucks. I was hoping for something like the Tundra with the bed light in the 3rd brake light.

First gens are bigger trucks than the models before them. America doesn't want mini trucks, they want bigger because that's obviously better. Look at the size of all vehicles.

I mean the 2nd gens are great trucks but come on toyota, its not looking to be really an all new truck based on frame, shocks, sliding window, etc.

As long as there's new engines/transmissions were good. Yall are taking the complete redesign a little far. This shouldn't be a drastic change in design like there was with the transition from 1st to 2nd gen.

Ya its just like what Chevy did with the 2014 silvarado. It was all new, did it look similar to there 2013 in some ways, ya, but it was still a all new truck.

I'm not entirely convinced the truck in the black camo shit are the new trucks. Based off of the rear tail gate teaser, and now the front end teaser, I was picturing something a bit more broad and taller. The styling cues don't add up it seems. These trucks look like 2nd gens with minimal changes.

Since I use my truck like a coupe, with a tonneau cover on 99% of the time, I would actually prefer the bed light to be below the railcaps.

Precisely, similar to the "all new tundra" which was really the same bones with updated interior, exterior and powertrains. I would bet the same for the 3rd gen tacoma.

America doesn't know what the fuck it wants, wouldn't trust the judgement put forth on it's opinion anyway, bigger isn't always better...

Or maybe America still wants their vehicles to haul 2 tons (even if its a half ton) do a standing 1/4 mile in the high 9's or low 10's, get 35 miles a gallon,
be reliable as a swiss watch & cost whatever a Yugo cost when they were around (about 2k IIRC)

I'm perfectly fine with things like the back glass getting recycled. Who cares if the suspension is mounted the same? Just because the placement is the same on those doesn't mean they haven't inproved the components.

They are making major changes to the exterior, and hopefully also the interior and drivetrain. I'm happy as hell to see they aren't going the route the Colorado took. Who wants a soccer momed truck?

Ya I was thinking more square. Especially with the fenders. Wasn't expecting the round fenders that look very similar with the Colorado. The front end and rear both look more chiseled.
