Why can't Toyota make something that jaw dropping?

 

Will be interesting to see what the price changes too if it does, new updates either will come out of somewhere else (cheaper components) or a higher price, Toyota knows that they will sell every single one of these like every other tacoma with little to no markdown needed.

 

The ones you have seen, and the ones they haven't released yet. I'll bet that the sides of the truck are also different under that Camo.

 

Was expecting a new truck also. Starting to remind me of the old 73-87 Chevy trucks with only a slight facelift.

Those pics posted here look like essentially exactly the same truck as we have now , assuming thats actually what the 3rd gen will look like

 

They match up with both the tailgate pic (the bumper profile looks the same) as well as the front end so yeah looks like the 2016.

Without a 2nd gen side-by-side to compare profiles it really is hard to tell how they compare. But overall silhouette, AND especially the cab section, looks VERY identical in profile. Rear doors on the DC look slightly bigger so maybe a little more passenger room, or could just be placebo of me trying to find a difference. Front end looks more chiseled and the hood looks alittle more dramatic in slope profile...but again I have no real direct comparison.

Lol someone line up a stock Tacoma in Photoshop based on the wheel size of those stock steelies, I'm too lazy to do it....

 

looks to be what was anticipated gen 2.5 Tacoma, same platform with sheetmetal and power train changes. Which wont be to bad if they address some of the issues the current trucks have. Drum brakes, why does everyone complain about this? They last a long time and the truck stops well without rear disc, I don't get it.

 

I like to think of it as equivelant to the difference between the 11th and 12th generation F150.

Yes but its definitely not the same exterior.

 

They are moving the crease lines

 

They freeze up in ice and cold.
they fill with sand and dirt when used off road at all lime at the beach.
they make a bunch of problems and are loud grinding as in the current problem they have now under the TSB

 

But they are making more changes to it than what they did in 2012. This will be the biggest redesign since the one in 05.

 

well that would make sense seeing how this is supposed to be the next gen
