2016 Tacoma social media leak

They took a picture of a new tundra, resized it down to about 60-75%, put the picture along side the original picture and said, BAM, new Tacoma. Make it.

 

Shit I'd be content with a turboed engine in the lineup. It's only been about 30 years since we've seen one of those.

 

If the math works out, I'd be open to buying one.

And if they finally decide to install heated mirrors. I drove a loaner '14 taco the last few days while my tundra was getting a warranty repair done (cam tower seals) and I really missed having the heated mirrors since I park outside.

My wife's '06 t4r has heated mirrors

 

Every truck i have owned had drums and no issues, must be a Tacoma thing then as I see a lot of hate for them. Only time will tell for the drums on my 12' I guess.

Am I the only one to think it doesn't look liked the new tundras? Maybe the older ones but the only thing that reminds me of the tundra is the rear and the grill a little.

Nope, just arguing about if it's really worthy of the title of 3rd gen.

 

The 3rd gen looks like a 2nd gen

 

Which seems to have inherited some characteristics from the Model A. Internal combustion engine, windows, wheels, tires, axles. Totally disappointing... I was really hoping it would be a flying Tacoma.

I'm really hoping they ditch the contract with RIM on the entune system too. I'm not really impressed.

 

This is basically what this whole argument is about. "Shit those projector headlights resemble the lanterns they used in 1907. Completely unnecessary."

Spoke to a friend at the local dealership and they did a review of the new Tacoma in a sales meeting. He said he was impressed with the new looks but had no pictures to share but did mention that the new taco will get a 3.5 litre direct fuel injection v6 with hp in the 300 neighbourhood.

 

Drivetrain change. Just like the differences between the 1st and 2nd gen.

Did his co-worker's wife's brother's friend that works at a Toyota factory tell him that? Haha
