Hahaha Diddo. Although I am impressed how well he managed to stuff that front tire in the first pic of this build.

Yea and no. Definetly lose them up front. It'll be 2" wider per side then it is now up front.

I am getting a t100 axle this Christmas too that I will swap out back that'll put the rears almost just as wide. Then I'll do a custom rear shock setup I have in mind that I'm am pretty excited to put together.

What are you gonna do with current axle and gears?

 

He should be able to just swap his whole third over to the T100 axle.





So is it a +2 kit or a +3.5 kit?

 

Pretty sure he has said 3.5 in the past. I want to see frank fit on the switch backs this summer .

 

If it's a 3.5" kit and he takes off the front wheel spacers he won't be much wider than you are now. haha

1st gen WMS-WMS is 60" so with a +3.5 kit he'll be 67".
2nd gen WMS-WMS is 65"

 

Well that was why I asked, did he mean it's a +2 kit or that it will be 2" wider with the spacers removed. I assumed the latter but assuming doesn't always work. haha

 

Ive talked with him about a 2+ kit for second gens before and he always said he's going wider. Plus its monte. Go big or go home, right?

 

Yeah that's why I figured he did a +3.5 kit, but was just checking.

I hear Solo is coming out with a 19" LT kit for 1st gens though

Yeah, I had heard there were no +2 kits for 1st gens, but there are always new kits coming onto the market so you never know. I'm not familiar with MCM's products so that doesn't help. haha

I've been eyeing DTF's +6 kit. I'll be interested to see how the 4wd version comes out.

I'd assume he'll ditch the wheel spacers once he's done. Won't be much need for them, unless he's going for the super low rider mexi poke look

This. 3.5" is the sweet spot if you want to keep 4x4.

 

Axle..no idea. Junk yard probably. I will reuse the diff and the brakes as it just swaps over. It's just wider is all.

Nah my wheels are only 3.75 bs. The wheel spacers make it 2.25". I won't need the front wheel spacers since the lt will have the tire so far from the frame.

Each tire will be 2" wider then it is now though..so yea...pretty wide..lol the 12.5 wide tires make it look wider though.

Is it possible to get wheels with more backspacing or do you run into clearance issues between the tire and coil over?
