I hear ya on the electronic crap. I bought the extended warranty on my truck for that very reason. I do my own maintenance and will fix what I can, but I can't touch the electronics on that thing. I was swayed when the dealership told me my radio cost almost $1,500 because Sync integrates it into the truck.
Better stay out of the tinder thread then also, haha.

We did the extended warranty on the 4runner too. Honestly I don't even change the oil on it. It's not much more, like $10 maybe to have the do it with toyota synthetic vs me doing it with m1 or penz platinum. Plus it's just a pita to do it. Only thing I've done to it so far is air filter, cabin air filter, and rotate the tires.

Screw that, any vehicle I buy gets my aftermarket stuff like it or not!

At that point I was too young to be working in an office. All I remember is turning on the news and thinking "Who the F*ck even cares about this anymore?!" for months.

I'm all for aftermarket, but the Sync system is a whole computer system basically. It gets information from the truck, has voice controls, etc. I don't know if I could get all that to function properly with an aftermarket system. I actually really like the head unit this truck has.

If he wants pictures, let me know. It's a nice looking bar, the 3D lenses look awesome. I was bummed that I couldn't get it to fit on my truck. Thanks for the help! I'll buy you a frosty beverage at the next TW meet

Yeah I had to buy a control module for my Chevy to use an aftermarket for similar reasons, one being the bells and chimes came through the radio on the stock unit. $75 more for that piece of shit.

Running my amps pretty much dictates I avoid stock, plus you know me with the stereo stuff..

I hate how stuff is wired through the radio. The radio on my girl's G6 displays info about the oil and MPGs, resets some of the dummy lights, etc..

I remember that BS with Chevy. I had the same thing happen with my Silverado. The stock radio crapped out, I went to Best Buy, bought another one, had them install it and got in to realize none of my chimes or anything worked. At that time, it was almost $150 for that stupid module thing to make them work. I had it out with the installer because the fuker should have told me that when I bought it and they gave it to me for half price.
