I never understood the reason for complaining that a truck rides as sooth as a car. As long as it's as capable as a normal truck then they can make it ride as sooth as they want imo :notsure:

Ordered up some Bilstein 5125s in the 10" travel variety.. Merry Christmas to meee!

Gonna need to extend my bump stops about 2" I think, what have you guys done to extend them? Replace the factory bumps with taller ones, or added an extension to the frame?

One day, I may have to retrofit. Been raining all day today. Was driving down the road and crossed into a less well-lit section. I seriously thought that both my headlight bulbs or the relay had died.

I tell ya, I did not go fancy with the lights, putting in just plain old Rampage Halogens, and they are bright as can be. Was/am still amazed. Not as cool looking as some of the rides here, but for $100 very nice to me :)

I was having the same problem when I first got my truck, do you have the stock trailer wiring harness on your truck? Check that out mine was burning up it smelled like smoke ripped that junk out and threw it in the trash and got a new harness.

I hate this. Even if it was a well lit area in town, the lane lines would disappear on me.

The new headlamps with the Silverstar Ultras make a significant difference.

X2. They aren't great. Mine were terrible before I buffed them this past weekend because being hazy caused me to fail inspection. Even after buffing and with brand new bulbs they are still pretty weak.

yes sir! I wish I had a rear locker. All that will come when I decide to re-gear....and since I am re-gearing, I might as well do 35's right? and since I'm going into the diff's, I might as well get some badass lockers right?

    Damn money pit!!!

I just did that... my front end went... so decided since I had to replace the gears... might as well re-gear... and since I had 3.92 stock... and toyota did 4.30's stock... I did that, and swapped in the e-locking rear axle at the same time... so now I have a rear locker and 4.30's... my spedo is dead nuts on with my 285 toyo's

All of that can be simplified by the simple questions of how do you use your truck and how would those thing REALLY change how you use it and why.

Has being open kept you from going places you want to go..

    Have 33s ever stopped you..

I still honestly believe 33s are the best tire for our trucks. Add some skids and you can go many MANY places. I know I won't go over 33s on my next build. Won't need it. 35s make stuff easier? Hell yes. But for most cases the difference isn't worth the cost and hassle IMO. I'm over 35s. Bring on the 37s. Now we are talking bigger advantages. But looking at more broke parts...lol

Still not sold on front lockers either on our rigs. That's a if you have the money get it mod to me.

For most people though, rear locker and 33s is going to take them anywhere they want to go.

Off the soap box now..let the arguing commence..

I find this argument still invalid for 33s though..

For 35/37..yes worth it for the stronger spiders.

    33s..no
