A rear locker will help you in longevity as well... I was able to do many things open/open that others with lockers did... But it required more momentum... Momentum=force... Force CAN=more broken parts.

I agree, with the people I wheel with 33's and a rear locker will take me anywhere I want to go. If I can't make it someone with a winch will help me or I will help myself. 35's and 37's are awesome but unless I sas are worthless to me.

    Well said^

haha, no arguing. Very good points made. I have yet to need a rear locker. I would like to have one tho. I want to take my baby thru the Rubicon. Not sure how well I will do open/open. but yes I agree, With my armor and 33's, I can go lots of places....fun places ;)

I agree with this. It's true you can still make it up a lot of obstacles but having to use momentum can break things.

And regarding the front locker... there is an alternative. I'm running a true trac lsd and it's sweet. It's a nice improvement over an open diff

You can do rubi with 33s full armor and a rear locker. A rear locker is always nice. I can't wait to have one too.

It also makes thing more..interesting haha aka fun :p

My beard is superior..thus..your face is invalid :luvya:

Good point..but you have to try pretty hard to break the front diff and cvs on 33s. By being stupid usually.

    Still better then open..

    I can!

    :anonymous:

2 CV's and ADD stub shaft under my belt.
For the record, the two CV's were aftermarket. Nothing since I switched to OEM.

    Your special.

You get to something that the flying turd won't sweetly crawl over and you go

    FUCK THIS BULL SHIT!!!

And floor it to unleash the wrath of the supercharged flying turd to make it fly over said obstacle.

Some of the landing have been rough :p

    :D

And yet shit doesn't break during those "fuck it" moments.

One CV was just a damn fluke. Turned on dirt and it went POP. Piece of shit outer cage blew up. The other CV was driver stupidity. Saw a big water bar and pussied out and slammed the brakes instead of the skinny pedal. When I came down the front brakes were locked and broke an inner.

The ADD stub shaft....good lord. 4wd high, unlocked...and still broke it in half. Damn supercharger

On the topic of lockers i have a powertrax no-slip for my rear diff and running 32s. I want to know if a powertrax lock right will *click* if i put one in the front diff. I dont care about when im in 4x4 but what about in 4x2 riding in town?

Hey if guys can make it on 32s and armor in tacomas..I'm confident in saying that.

Now..then you can get in the argument of since they do almost all bypasses is it really the trail..but whatever.

Of the two of us..who has a girlfriend? :D red beards win all the wars

Yea another reason OEM cvs are worth it haha

    Curse the supercharger...:luvya:
