I've also heard (Arnolds Bodybuilding Book) that calve raises are useless because your calves are made up of fast twitch muscles. Your calves are built to handle you running and jumping so unless you're going super stupid heavy your calves wont grow like you want. Luckily I was born with big calve muscles and the only thing I notice is in the summer months when I'm running and biking all the time they get nice and solid even when in a relaxed position.

I do a couple of leg exercises every time..I don't care about the size of them but want them strong to compensate for the junk knee or knees I am stuck with.

I'm thinkin maybe 3 days a week. I'm on a chest/tri, back/bi, shoulders legs split, hitting everything twice a week in different ways. So I'll do them with chest and legs. Give them a day to recover before doing squats and whatnot so I'm not really tight for that. That's the plan right now anyway.

Well I swung by GNC. WOW, loads of improvement there. I was greeted by 2 jacked guys that actually knew what they were talking about! I ended up leaving with a Dr. Jackyll for cheap. They hooked me up with a veteran discount even though its not offered there. Ill be doing business locally now.

Glad you found some knowledge there and good service. It's pretty rare, lol. Last one I went to I was greeted by an older overweight woman who was outside smoking.

I go to GNC because they price match ON with any web retailer I pull up on my phone, and then subtract an extra $1. So they beat every price, and then some, and I can walk out with it.

Finally had time to get to the gym today after all the graduation stuff and trying to transition to the adult world. I had graduation Wed, a meeting at the Capitol yesterday, and a lunch thing with all the big whigs today at a Thai restaurant. I was expecting disgusting food, but Pad Thai is pretty fucking good!

I got some of those LG wireless headphone things and they're pretty awesome. I don't have to run my headphone wires up my shirt when working out, so there's no snagging or anything going on.

Lower B day (Went with high reps today):

    back squats: 135x20, 135x20, 225x15, 135x20
    straight-leg deadlifts: 135x20, 135x 20, 225x15, 135x20
    leg extensions: 3 sets of 15, 14, 12 @ 45 lbs per leg
lying leg curls: 3 sets of 10, 15, 15 @ 45 lbs per leg, 25 lbs per leg, 25 lbs per leg
    standing calve raises
    seated calve raises

What? My store price matches any online retailer, sale price or regular, and then subtracts $1. I was buying ON online and needed a new shake bottle so I went to GNC, they laid the news on me and I've been buying it there since. Don't need to wait for things to ship or arrive, and it's the cheapest price.

I think he was just surprised. Usually GNC charges like $90 for ON, but it's always conveniently on sale for ~$65. It's pretty cool that yours price matches. Out of curiosity, I'm gonna see if mine does...I'd still rather give bb.com my business solely because they actually take bodybuilding seriously

Dang. I don't think I've ever paid more than $40 for 5 lbs of ON whey.

Really? What store would be "your store"? $40 is a good deal. Although I've been using iso flex for post workout, I do use ONs casein

Yeah, that's an amazing deal. My gym orders our stuff from a place in Mississippi called Powershack and even with our wholesale discount, it's like $52.
