Whether the OP comes back or not, the company is a small business and if I was the OP, who came in to try and help out others and then had my integrity questioned, I wouldn't be back either. And now that a MOD has said no fishy business, I would encourage all nay sayers to just delete the subscription to the thread.

It seems to me, whether the BA LED guy is using housing that are the same and then building them with his CREE chips, its still his product. All the negative press does not help this small businessman out.

I have seen enough now to make a purchase. I understand being skepticle but at a point it becomes unproductive to keep saying the same thing over and over again. When it starts to undermine someones attempt to get started in business, or make a name for a company, I have to chime in.

It is far to easy to "Hit and Run" on any type of social media and for someone who relies on word of mouth to advertise (like most small businesses when they start out) it can be devastating.

I personally would appreciate, that unless you have purchased these and have conctructive comments, that it is non-productive and quite frankly is pissing me off. I would rather read pros and cons to help me decide if I want to make the purchase.

My small rep here on TW is solid, and I am not a small business guy, but like to support them when I can. I too take a lot of time to try and help people out when I can here on TW because I have received so much good advice.

I will be buying a set of fogs soon.

Thanks BriteAssLEDs, for taking the higher road with all the negative press. I believe in having faith in folks and maybe a little too much trust at times but think you are legit.

Thanks for all you did to get a good review to add to comments from others on this and the step by step mods for folks. I understand the time it take and it is very helpfull.

Good luck OP, around my neck of the woods, the police are ticketing people left and right with lights spilling that much light. Aren't these types of bulbs made to be used in projector lenses?

Cheers pepe98! It's funny how many of the threads on here turn in to arguments. I have a set of BA LEDs, LOVE THEM! Enjoy

Granted these look bright that is for sure, but at what expense? Guaranteed the light scatter is affecting other drivers. Not cool.

True that. I get people flicking their lights at me all the time with my stock bulbs on low beam. It's a little hairy when lights as bright as the sun are coming my way in the opposite direction. My night vision aint what it used to be.

Installed and took them for a quick drive down the road this evening.

No, they don't spill light everywhere, blinding oncoming drivers. They maintain a very similar focus to a standard halogen bulb in a reflector lens, with very slightly less focus on the hot spot of the cast light.

The light is very white with a touch of blue. Very similar to the light thrown by my 55w 6k HID off-road lights. Just slightly whiter.

Low beams are pretty impressive. Good throw, nice beam pattern. Upper cutoff appears to be right so that we can play nicely with others on the road. Still going to have my wife take my truck and meet me on the road so I can see what oncoming traffic sees.

As others have noted, the high beams are different. Because the low LED stays on to help simulate the high filament in a halogen bulb , the highs just light up more things above the low beam cutoff, and the lows continue to brightly paint the road close to you. That may affect the *appearance* of the effectiveness of the high beams. It's difficult to say what I think about how well that all works until I get some highway and regular commute time in on them.

Install was a breeze. As easy as replacing a set of regular bulbs. Unlike some others, I didn't cut any of the rubber boots and was able to get a full seal around the base of the bulb.

    Cheers.

Didn't go through this entire thread but I started the thread about the "Lifetime LED's" and they are essentially the same bulbs. I had them installed for 8 months before the drivers side went out. They are a pain in the ass to install and a pain in the ass to replace. No I did not have to cut the rubber boot but I did have to remove the battery and washer tank to install them.

I wish they would have worked longer as I loved the light output. But to those that have them installed... don't expect too much in the longevity department. Any light that has moving components??..... yeah... not gonna last long.

Looked at the video you posted. Really saw no difference between low and high beams. Was there a difference not picked up with the video camera? Could see the difference when the fog lights were on and off.

Noticed the change between high and low, it lit up the trees above.

    Stock for now...
I know one difference that may make people think there is no real change with the high beams - both elements are lit when on high - so it makes it appear that the high beams are not raising the pattern . That's how the 30w units I have in my Taco work anyway and as far as I know all the brands are doing this same thing - both are lit on high . The beam is actually higher down the road , need an area with taller road signs and I had to raise mine a fair amount before the high beams really started to show up . The cutoff line is pretty good , btw - mine are the LifetimeLEDS

This is true and that's why I posted my findings. Some say the high beam is crap, but you can't turn off the low to really see what it does. As I've found out, the high beam is really good in the Sierra's at night or early morning when pretty dark. Once it gets twilight, I just keep the fogs and low's on. The high just doesn't seem to project "down the road" because the lows are taking up some of the light. However, having them both on at once fills that "void" area in front of the truck with stock lights when just the high beams are on.
