bumper mounting assistance

    so the bar at the bottom of the bumper is what protects the bottom of the radiator correct??


    are the 2 bolts on either side of the bar that hold it to the bumper also where the bumper mounts to the truck??? is the whole bumper held on oly by these 4 bolts?? i don't see any other holes or potential mounting spots.

    so it sounds like the stock bumpers are mounted with six bolts.... the 4 in the middle then one more on each end

    i don't see any holes for the 2 on the ends on my bumper.

    does anyone think this would be a problem?

    does anyone know if the ARB (which are similar i guess) uses all six mounting spots for those bumpers?

    my arb uses 2 "new" mounts/crush cans that bolt to the frame ends using either 3 or 4 bolts each...and then the bumper mounts to those mounts using 2 bolts per mount (i think)

    its been awhile since i put mine on...however i do know its ONLY mounted to the frame ends...nothing on the sides

    the stock bumper is pretty easy to take off...the first thing id do is attempt to put it on as designed...see how it fits...make sure it fits...etc etc...and then start looking for a local place to beef it up if need be

    i had issues with mine being "wobbly" for ease of mind i welded mine on, i can still pull with it and it is still wobbly and not flush with the truck on the sides, after i can afford a winch i am going to put beefier welds

    IT DOESN'T FIT!!!!!!!!!!!

    the stock bumper mounting points are about 5" wider on each side than where the bolts are on the new bumper


    someone PLEASE tell me i am doing this wrong

    just talked to derek... my bumer is weld on not bolt on


    that bar that goes across the bottom is actually a new crossmember that needs welded to the frame
