Good advice there. I always try to keep my back preserved. I get down in squat position to pick up anything more than a few pounds because hey, it doesn't cost anything extra.

Lmao. The worst part about my job is I've moved up so much in the short time I've been there, that everyone expects a lot from me. Which is good because I'm a very competitive person and I like moving up the ladder. However, it's also bad because I can only do so much at one time. When everyone wants something done it can be a little stressful at times to handle the situation. You just gotta learn to take a deep breath and do one thing at a time, if people want to get mad they're gonna get mad. But until I have time to deal with them my full attention is on whatever the task I'm doing at that moment is

 

yeah luckily the sears i work at is a hometown store or whatever so its private owned. if i worked at a big sears... no fuck that nope. i also worked at bed bath and beyond for a year... that blew donkey balls....

Yeah my dad owns a company that does a whole lot of shit... do alot of work in general trades, electrical, communication, machines, all that kind of shit, the crew that i work with doesnt stop straight 12 hour days no lunch or anything

 

cool fact: my dads company is top 3 of contracting work at the Toyota plant here. that makes the Camry and Avalon

When I hurt my back on the job I was stuck in bed for 2 weeks before I could put any weight on my feet, then I used a fucking WALKER for 3 weeks going literally an inch at a time from the bed to the bathroom and in incredible pain doing so, this was a 15 foot walk that would take me 5 minutes.

Couldn't believe I'd go to the hospital at 26 years old for physical therapy and be fully dependent on a walker to get there. Pretty scary.

And all of this, mind you, because I had some tissue damage while I leaned over to pick up a pen off the ground while I was on kneeling down on my knees.

 

im around 120k or so

and it wasnt water getting into it that made it fail, it was simply worn, the inside of the compartment the retainer nut sits in was squeaky clean

 

For right now, and for the next few years I'm content with where I'm at and the company I work for. In the next year I plan to become supervisor and learn everything there is to learn about that job. I will also learn as much as I can with the numbers side of running a retail business. Not only will that help me get a job in the future, but also help when I open my transportation company down the road.

 

He it is illegal no to give lunches every 6 hrs...jobs are jobs I don't mind mine nor love them

But those things don't make me feel like i've earned my money. So i'll work by other means.
