Finished Skool Wednesday. We were just up at woods canyon last weekend. I'm not sure if we will be up before the new year. Got family coming into town. Possibly right after. The boys are loving the snow, so I'd like to get them back up to have a good snowball fight.

Unfortunately they aren't mine. Those are Sams. :D

Haha. She's gotten a lot more comfortable with her rig. I'm sure next time we go out she'll do most of the driving.

You got a leaky rear? ;) You do need to get that fixed.

We haven't had any issues with them besides the gashes on the sides. That's what got us really worried. I did a good amount of wheeling at box and I don't think I have any on my AT2. She does on trip through sycamore and has a few on each tire. One tire I'd understand, but all of them? Just kind of sketchy to us.

She's read issues about the rain. I am following a guy on the insta that had just put on duratracs. That same day he was taking a turn he always does and ended up losing traction and rolling his 4runner.

Yeah I have cuts in all mine too. Hasnt really bothered me tho. I have never slipped out in corners with mine. I dont know how much I would trust that guy flipping his shit cause of tires. Uou put mt's on and you would loose traction in the rain to because of that tread pattern aswell. I would say there was something else in play. But with all that being said im not going duratracs again. Im going to try the goodyear wrangler mtr kevlars next.

Yea, there is oil squirting out all over my drum and axle on the passenger side. I really need to slow down on those mall speed bumps when I go crawling with Patticakes. :p

Nope. No traction. When I panic brake, lose traction, and spill my pumpkin swirl latte, I'll be angry.

Those don't worry you at all?! They'd drive me crazy.

And I know. I thought that too. He said he always goes pretty fast over that corner. But idk if there was extra water, abs kicked in or whatever else. Who knows. Haha

    Meh. Get some R/ts.

Hell no! I still drive. I can't sit shot gun the entire time. Haha. She can do all the rocks and actual fun stuff. I'll stay on the flat dirt and whatnot. I'm cool with that. :)

Sam, did you buy those spacers from mick? Also did you invest in some gorilla locks?

    LOL
allow me to clarify on this a bit for you guys.

if you have ADD, (non manual locking hubs) you can use a 1st generation tundra cv axle, you need to trim off the inner CV boot lip and use a high angle boot, and thats all you need.
if you have manual locking hubs, you need to do the same as above, AND you also need to swap your outer tacoma cv joint onto the tundra shaft. (very hard to do, i have a shop swap the outer joint for me because you have to break the cage)
make sure the axels are OEM CVs. aftermarket tundra axels WILL not work.

the axels will work on total chaos and camburg. i have personally installed them on both kits.
alexs old truck truck has a tc kit and me and my buddy just swapped in a new CV.

the reason why TC axles cost so much is because they are lifetime warranty, and they wanna make $$$!!!

no one will make an axle for manual locking hubs. you basically have to do it yourself or tell a shop what to do while looking over them.

you would not need extended CVs. most people dont even change their boots to high angle ones. its really up to you.

i too like camburg because you can run a bump stop and boxed lowers.

    That's some good info.

So... For my application I would not need extended CV's right? Just looking at uniball uppers and whatever coilover, possibly extended length in the future.
