    The warn M8000 seems to be one of the most popular winches on this site. It does look very reliable and seems like a great option! Ill be keeping my eye out and if nothing shows up ill probably be getting the TJM.

    Ongoing process? Mine were done in a day once jerry finished welding them up :) Why not grab some trail gear sliders, and just paint/weld. Prolly be as much effort as replacing brakes, and you'll get much needed protection if you wheel it. Just my .02

    Well I have a friend who is going to build custom ones and is only charging for materials. And in Georgia there aren't any big rocks. But it shouldn't be too long ha

    Good point I noticed that after I posted :) I was born in Decatur, moved out here to California when I was 11. Love visitin Georgia, can't beat the south.

    AAL has been installed, took a bit longer than i anticipated but ohwell.

    Hopefully installing the rear suspension tomorrow!

    I wish. I thought this thing would be done by the 2nd.... I'm going to play it safe and say that it should be done around the 30th..... But I really hope before then... Waiting sucks

    I was hoping to finish up the whole rear and only got to finishing the driver side leaf pack and U-Bolts...

    Springs didnt want to go in the places I wanted them to go....

    Everything off the drivers side...

    Using scissor jack to get the dang spring in place....... Took a long time to think of this idea..... (Bolts were tightened after that)

    Surprised you needed to Rachel forward, mine needed that too the first time but figured it was cuz I failed to anchor the axle on stands.

    I thought with dakars you almost always had to ratchet it forward because the center pins are in different positions compared to stock.

    Most of the pics and installs showed people doing it.
