I ALMOST bought a 44 Mag DE with 3 magazines for $1000. But I didn't see a point in owning one if it wasn't 50 AE, and I ended up with another 1911.

I've heard this a lot. Guess I'll find out soon enough though. I'm planning on getting it this summer and then it'll be my CC when I turn 21.

G30 is hard to beat, IMO. My favorite Glock so far.

What's so romantic about shotguns? One 870, one 1100 and call it a day. Handguns will blow your mind.

Haven't heard that...Heard a lot of the exact opposite actually...many people at my dept have been switched over after they had trouble qualifying with the 3rd gen and they adjust the backstraps and bam...no issues qualifying

Still illegal in CA AFAIK. :(

    I'd buy a Gen 4 G30 in a heartbeat.

It's on my list, but not at the top

    Completely different purposes

I have 5. 2 were deals I couldn't pass up and will eventually make $$ off the deals. 1 was free. 1 I just wanted. 1 is issued.

    Well duh haha

I just pick up pistols and yeah they're fun, but to me I have a lot more fun with a shotgun.

I have 5 or 6 also, but I don't think I can honestly say I've ever lusted over a shotgun, ever. Except for a few of Vang Comp's builds, but those are worked over 870s. I went nuts on my 870 once upon a time and it ended up being cool looking, 40 lbs and awkward to hold. Now I'm more into simple excellence.

They were, and I think they still are, but I haven't shopped for them since the Gen 4 was first introduced and they told me no dice.

I'm not even going to try to act like i have one tenth the amount of pistol range time you have. I consider "fine" for a pistol, hitting the man size target anywhere in the chest at ranges of 15-50 yards.

I meant more along the lines of...are you picking up the pistol or drawing from a holster and point shooting, or 2 handed grip taking time to aim etc...

You can do so much with a shotgun though. You can slug hunt at 200-300 yards, clear rooms, hunt turkeys and squirrels out to 60 yards, hunt predators with slugs and buckshot....
