Pretty cool. I'd absolutely love to shoot one. I want to experience that flash of flint right in my face and see just how accurate i can be with it if i don't catch a case of the trigger flinches lol

I didn't take a full body pic because cell phones make it difficult, but here's the good parts. The whole thing looks like this, so.. you can fill in the gaps.

Mine doesn't look like it was used as a crutch by some plantation owner like yours either. I think the street cred goes to you. :D

Without getting back out of my warm bed to confirm, I'm pretty sure it was manufactured in Italy. No clue what species of wood the stock is from either, but the tiger striped grain is more of a show piece than a user. Still shoots great, but not a working man's gun and not as old as yours.

I wish I knew anything other than old family stories about mine. It was allegedly made by an SC gunsmith around civil war era. It's fairly short, so likely made for a boy to shoot. The stock is worn and cracked. Someone (likely my great grandfather) painted a lot of the metal parts gold (poorly). The rod is permanently stuck in the stock. It hasn't been fired in 50+ years and will likely never be fired again. I have a hard time NOT believing most of that however, based on other confirmed history with some of my family and stuff

That's awesome, if my buddy in Columbia hadn't been broken into TWICE I'd say it'd be a great wall hanger, but locked up in the gun safe away from the prying hands of peckerwoods sounds much better.

That's an heirloom for sure. Way cool.
