Awesome ride!! I fell in love the the 4runner Pro as soon as I saw it. I love my Tacoma (2012 DC SR5) but I feel like my wife's 2008 4runner is nice on the inside and seems to drive a little better - I can imagine the newest ones are even nicer.

The Tacoma needs to come a long way to even come close to the coolness of the 4Runner Pro interior. It's not even close. I loved my 2011 Tacoma 4x4 DC TRD Sport but after trading it in for the 4Runner Pro I haven't looked back. I hope Toyota steps it up with the next generation Tacoma. By the way. I knew I had some driveline vibs with my Tacoma(5100's set at 1.5) but after putting the first 300 miles on the 4Runner I now know what smooth is!! Wow what a difference, and the Pro is lifted some in the front. The package as a whole is just outstanding IMHO. The price difference in the Tacoma Pro and 4Runner Pro is actually kind of close. Maybe three grand or so in some prices I've seen and I believe the 4Runner has a lot more in it or on it. If you ever get a chance to drive one do it and you'll see what I mean.

They are sick no doubt but two different vehicles. Can't trade a truck for an SUV.
Wish I could buy one for my wife though :D

Nice Ride! I ordered my white 4runner trdp a few weeks ago. Can't wait. I also plan to install a gobi stealth rack and ladder. What rack is yours exactly? i prefer the lower profile one.

It is the Gobi ranger, I got it at trail duty. I have the ladder as well, not sure I am going to install it or not.

Good work. You're going to love your new Pro, liking mine a lot.

Let me know if your tires rub. Turn all the way to the right and reverse, let me know if you are rubbing? I heard they held up a bunch of recent TRDP's at the port because of this issue. I got one of the first ones so I don't think they caught it on mine. Need to take it in to have it checked out.

No rubbing, but funny you should mention.
I'm curious... All this talk about what the lift on the front was supposed To be and what it actually is.

I've noticed that everyone that got the "early batch" looks like their front end actually sits as high as the pre production press pictures, while later batches (like mine) have the front coils that sit a little lower AND only have 2 notches on the coilover body where one would adjust height.

Do your front coilovers have the 3 notches and is it up on the highest? Mine only has 2 notches and it is in the highest but it would be even higher If it had all 3 notches as in the pre production pictures if the coilovers. Only reason I even care is because I'd like to go to slightly bigger tire and I'm worried that .5 inch difference will be just enough to cause rubbing.

If they did ship two styles I'm hoping that means the TRD coilovers in their catalog have the 3 notches and I can work something out with a dealer... Or ebay.

You know there is a lot of talk on T4R about the shocks and the consensus is that they are not adjustable. I cannot confirm that but if you look up this link and read through it there is a lot of talk about the set up and the first batch as compared to the second. There is one guy on there that up-sized tires already with no extra lift, not to 33's but to Cooper ST Maxx 32's if I remember correctly. There is some good insider info on this thread. One guy on there either works for Toyota at the port install facility or is really close to the situation. Either way he talks about the first batch going out and the second batch getting help up for some front end issue.

Congrats! Looks gorgeous! I actually convinced my wife to get it! We started looking last year. We test drove the Grand Cherokee, explorer and the 4runner. She actually liked the 4runner best. She likes big cars. When I saw the TRD pro, I fell in love. Here in Florida I was not able to find any in stock and most others coming were already sold. Almost 10k over msrp. Ridiculous. I started searching earlier this month and found one in Maryland. We are flying there on Monday and driving it down. Going to make a nice road trip out of it. So excited!
I love that gobi rack but I have a frontrunner on my taco. I might look into that one. Bt I love the ladder from gobi.
Oh man! I think I need a second job!
