I got an 02 xtra cab 4wd 5 speed(love the standard transmission). The frame wasn't tweaked but the cost to fix the cab exceeded what the insurance company wanted to pay. I was going though an intersection and a girl turning left turned right into the side of me when I had the green light and the right of way. Don't quite know what was going through her head...

Looks like the rear axle got knocked backward, or is that from the body getting caved in? The rear end seems to be wanting to turn left...

Dude , I may be wrong here but from what I can see from pics you got screwed by your insurance, especially if the frame & drive train is intact ( it certainly looks drivable to me)I would buy the salvage in a heart beat... that truly sucks, sorry for your loss...:(

What!? The insurance screwed you man.. I had the same thing happen to my truck.. Someone came over on me and messed up my whole driver's side, took the axle and leaf springs out from under my truck, then caused me to hit a gas station.. Their insurance covered my truck, somewhere around 6400 dollars

They probably would have been able to fix it, but I'm not complaining because they gave me more than a fair settlement for the truck.

Never heard of an insurance co. doing that before! Isn't that why we give them our hard earned money??--To fix vehicles in accidents like this? Bastards! I'm sorry about your truck man. That really sucks. Glad to hear you got it replaced. :)
