Ok, for the last couple of months I have something rolling around under my truck, sometimes it sounds like it's right under me, and other times it sound like it's under the back seats.

It only happens when I am turning a corner or going over a speed bump. It's really driving me crazy at this point, I have tried rocking the truck in the driveway but I can't get it to do it..

I really don't want to take this to the dealer (it is under warranty) I just don't want to be without my truck while they figure it out, also I don't mind doing the work if someone can lead me to what it might be..

Anyone else ever have this problem? I did try the search but maybe I'm the only one or I'm putting it in wrong..

    Thanks!!

Beer bottle? One of your kids marbles? It kinda sounds like something is rolling somewhere if it only moves on turns or bumps. Anything in the side pouches or coin drawers? Id look high and low inside before going mechanical.

Does it happen in 4x4 ?
does it happen when you are in reverse and turning ?
Does it happen when your foot is on the brake and you are turning the corner ?

Sometimes , small items get caught under the shifter mechanism and have a tendency to roll around

Take a look at your spare. I've been hearing some strange sounds as of late and saw today my spare was looking a bit out of place. Gave it a kick and low and behold it clanged around. Tomorrow mornings fix for me.

check under the plastic boxes under/behind the back of the seat something may have broke loose or was left behind at the factory. there was another post awhile back and someone found some random screws under there.

On my wife's expedition there was a piece of candy from one of the kids that got inside the floor have duct under the drivers seat. It was driving my crazy randomly on turns. The dealership removed it free of charge surprisingly. This may be what you are looking at.

I just had the same problem, it was a battery that got under the drivers side carpet into the air vent , it would roll around on some turns and stops driving me crazy. There is a cut in the carpet that the wire harness for the seat heaters goes through, must have slid in there.
The fix was pull the carpet back from in front of the brake petal far as I could without pulling it out from under the center counsel, reach your arm under and disconnect the vent, it pulled right out, removed the battery and reinstalled.

I had a Ford truck several years ago to the very same thing, this truck had a manual tranny.
The noise started after I had the clutch repaired, sounded like it was right under me which it was.
It turned out the mechanic had put a 3/4"inch nut between the bell housing and the underside of the floor deck as a spacer to help align everything.

When I would break hard or turn a corner the nut would bang around.
One day it just fell out, I stopped and picked it up trying to figure out where it came from.
I decided it didn't come from the truck and took it to the mechanic.
After a few minutes of not wanting to admit it came from them they asked the guy who worked on the truck about it.
He admitted to leaving it there, said he couldn't get it out.

A Friend of a friend years ago had a Station wagon with a real nasty rattle since new. He tried to find it for years.

One day he brought it to a body shop and said KEEP it until it's fixed.

They cut into the sealed rear fender well and pulled out a coke bottle. Since it was sealed in, it was apparently put there by a assembly line worker prior to the body being assembled.
