Sick build man! I have been trolling for a while :spy:

I see you got the TREDs recovery ramp. I got the Maxtrax through a Group Buy I put together this month. I am curious to see how the TREDs last though.

Truck's looking good. We have similar goals and wish lists for our rigs! Definitely subbed! :D

Thanx much appreciated. I've been through your build too, lots of good things happening in there. In hand TREDs are all business, have yet to use them in the field but they seem legit! And not to worried how they do over time cuz there's a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer themselves. That's makes me sleep well at night.

I see what you did there

Shit I should email them. The day I got high centered in the pines (twice) my tires rubbed off most of the nubs on the ramp part.

    Few updates

Started noticing the top washers to my rear shocks were molding with the bushing around the thread stem. Started getting real bad so I ordered a bushing kit from Toytec and replaced them. Turned that during install the washers were mixed up and mis installed. I glad I swapped it before it got any worse.

    Out with the old

Also while the rear tires were off I wanted to change my U bolts. When I installed my Dakars I forced off one of the nuts and it chewed up a portion of the threads. I found out there was a shop around the corner from my work shop that specializes in springs and hangers, they were able to make me grade 8 U bolts for my truck at a good price.

    Heavy duty u bolts!

The old shock bushings were wayyy over tightened! Wow!

Have you had the leaf spring shims the whole time or did you install them with the new leaf springs?

    Notice any difference?

Yea the new U bolts are beef! Here's the shop site http://www.rnhspring.com/services.html

The new bushing kit I got had 3 washers along with 2 bushings. 2 thicker steel and one thin tin one. I only had the one tin one on top :anonymous: which is why it failed. From top to bottom it should be shock, bushing, steel washer, frame mount, tin washer, bushing, steel washer, nut. It's def a ease of mind now.

Also had a great surprise for Christmas. My girlfriend had 24 different boxes under the tree, numbered to be opened in order. As I opened the first few in order I was opening puzzle pieces and putting them together. I had the pieces of the boarder together then the center picture stated appearing as a modded Tacoma. The last piece of the puzzle was the trucks snorkel, and the last present was the puzzle box. I opened it and this was written inside.

    6D1340C6-5016-4030-B6FA-C508CC67B134_zps_ed6ddd31b004913883c3803bdf83d937cd7ccb5e.jpg

I was stoked! As much as she busts my balls bout loving my truck she really gets it. So easy to love her.

I just don't know if I should get the safari Heliux for the Tacoma that I really dig or wait to see what Safari has coming out for the 05+ Tacoma in Spring 2015 :notsure:

Are you taking your truck swimming between now and this up coming spring? Make a nice money roll, stick it in the the freezer and forget about it for a few months.;)
By the way, you got a keeper with that one, my wife could care less and wouldn't even consider a gift like that! Lucky man!:D
