Possible roof top tent group buy

What'd the cost end up being on these?

 

It ended up being around 770.00 a tent+annex. A bit more than I hoped, but still saved a ton! I have no reason to believe they won't be of very good quality but we shall see, they finally will be shipped to each person early this week. (Our tents were made with a heavier grade ripstop canvas than most of the other common companies getting tents from China so I am actually hoping for them to be better!)

I think by doing 20-30 tents I could probably bring that price down to around 650. It would be a hell of a lot of work to coordinate though! I had 9 extremely patient and understanding people on my group buy who all made this work. I could not imagine 20-30 buyers with a few impatient ones thrown in the mix expecting something like this to happen over night.

 

Is that with shipping, or $770 plus shipping

 

If anyone is looking for a bed rack and is interested, I've designed and made one and am doing a group buy. This plus this awesome deal on the RTT would be a great combo haha

 

i would buy your "old" tent so you could keep getting a new one and keep this avenue open and streamlined with what you already know

 

That does not include shipping with in the US.

 

First set of tents was delivered today! Can't wait to see pics! (Still waiting on my delivery)

I am new to TW and was wondering if this deal worked out. Hate the fact I didn't join sooner. If this deal comes around again let me know.

 

Once we see the quality of tent we receive I am possibly going to consider another GB of 20+1 tent for myself.

I've been really busy at work, but I am going to try and mount mine tomorrow and take lots of pics. It's been raining so I need to set it up in a warehouse. Standby!

 

can these be mounted on a OEM roof rack? I assume not

 

The box says 52 kilos, so the roof rack may hold it, but it would be a pain to get it off and on since those cross bars aren't removable.

 

Patiently waiting for pics! Still won't be able to grab mine until Monday night or Tuesday morning.... It is there waiting for me at my local terminal but work is in the way! Just at least tell me there is a tent in the box and they are not full of garbage!

 

What was your total price shipped to NorCal if you don't mind me asking? I really wish I would have gotten in on this, but could be down for the next one if it happens.

 

The suspense must be killing you! Haha. I haven't even removed the stretch wrap off the pallet yet. I'll dig in for sure tomorrow.

My situation was a bit different than everyone else, along with the other NorCal guys. The tents were shipped over to me and we are splitting the freight 3 ways. So it's coming out to about $50 each for shipping.

If Lucas runs this GB again, I can help you guys out and have a central point for everyone here in Northern CA.

 

Not bad at all, thanks for the reply. I have a camping trip this spring that I may try to get a tent for. We'll see and I'll be watching this thread.

I finally got mine mounted. I had my buddy help me who had the similar ARB version and he said this one was build better.
