    Title says it all....

I refuse to buy a new model vehicle until a few years into production when they get some of the bugs worked out.... So who's gonna be the guinea pig? It sure as hell won't be me. I'll be interested in hearing the stories though.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Same here with my 04, wouldn't trade it for one of the new ones on a bet, it only has 79k on it yet. Lots of life left in her!

I would consider the 2016 tacoma, only because most of the part that seem to be going into it are ones that are already in the 4runner or tundra. From what I have seen its not a huge change (same engines?) But it might be different if toyota suddenly decided to try out something all new like GDI or 8 speed trans.

I bought a 1st run 5th gen 4Runner and it's been the very best Toyota I've ever owned. 62k on the odo and she still feels solid as the day I got her. I just want to see what engines they've got for it.

I only have 175k, so I guess when 4th gens come around with updated grill. I only put about 15-20k miles a year after I hit 85k. :)

    Not me!!
My 2012 Taco only has 22k on the clock.
I also pulled the trigger on a '14 FJC earlier this year and that has almost 5k on it.
At this rate , my two toyotas will outlive me.

Same as you....I'll wait at least 1 year (or more) until I buy a new one.

By that time, mine will be 10 years old and I'll be ready for a new truck. In fact, I'm kinda looking forward to it. But...time will tell. I hope its just as 'Toyota' as the rest (minus frame issues) and mine continues to go strong until then (it should!!). I can't imagine anything would steer me away from it.....and I pray it'll fit in my garage!! LOL

My 09 only has 55,000 on it so I've got at least another 100,000 to go before I think about another. Had my 01 until it hit 190,000.

    Not me.

Out of 50-ish vehicles I've owned, only 3 were spanking new. One of those is an '04 Highlander I'm still driving with less than 100k. :D (notice it was yr 3 of the Highlander)

I really wanted a 1st gen Tacoma, but everything with modest miles (<50k) in stock-ish form (prefer to do my own mods) were nuts in pricing. Actually forced me to start shopping Rangers and Frontiers.

Discovered my '13 base, equipped like I wanted, less than 9k miles, for only $5k more than an '11 Ranger with 25k I was considering.

Since I only drive this <5k/year, it's a 20 year purchase and will still be at 100k or less. No brainer for the extra $ in this case.

So it doesn't much matter what the '16 offers. I'm set.

A bed that will haul 2 yaks or 4 bicycles, jump seats for the grands, 20+ MPG in town, AC and a jukebox are all I need. :D

If my '14 wasn't only 4 months old with 3k miles I would definitely consider one. Of course, I'd have to see what it looks like first.

If they kept the good looks, improved gas mileage, put in a few things like heated mirrors and a freakin' outside temp gauge again, why not? Its a Toyota. It probably will be bulletproof, and if it does break, they will fix it.
