Anyone with a 2015 Taco with Factory Tow package, did your truck come with the plug in adapter to convert from the 7 pin socket to the 4 pin flat connector? Factory info says it is included but can't find one....then again, the owners manual shows and lists the in dash clock also! If you did get the adapter, did they stuff it under the seats or hide it elsewhere? Found the McGuard Lock key for the wheels in a baggie with the jack and such, but no trailer connector.

They are $8 at walmart. I don't thik I would get bent out of shape for something so cheap.

Are you sure the invoice is not referring to the wireing to hook up an electric brake actuator? That plug would be behind the drivers side kick panel. You still have to buy the brake actuator.

$10 at the dealer. Bought one before I left the dealership.

As stated only the wiring harness for electric brake controller is included.

Just checking to see if it was simply more stuff that is listed that they didn't remove from the specs. I've got an adapter in my Tundra that came with the tow package so was simply checking to see if it was another "delete" like the dash clock that they didn't list. They also used to include a "Toyota" Rubber Plug for the receiver that is listed but they now don't include (Still had the one from my Tundra so used it). The reason I had asked was because the dealer actually dug out the Bed Rail Cleats and installed them and I wanted to see if the Adapter was included and was maybe sitting on the shelf at the Dealer. Pigtail for the Brake Controller and the "plug" for the camera wiring when you take the tailgate off were both in the glove box.

My '07 came with one and but my '13 did not. The sales brochure listed it as part of the tow package. Salesman claimed ignorance so I told him to throw one in or I wasn't driving it off the lot. Pretty silly over a $10 part but, for me, it was about principle. Toyota literature/website at the time said it was included yet dealer "didn't know anything about it." Not a surprise since I knew much more about the truck I was buying than any of the salesmen. At the time of purchase, I was a little suspicious that the dealer was just taking them out of the new trucks before delivery and adding them to their parts stock.

the "converter" they speak of on the build sheet is the converter / harness adaptor for the electric brake controller, nothing more.

5 bucks at harbor freight will get you a 7 to 4 pin adaptor.

The dealers remove the bed cleats because they are very easy to steal from a truck on the lot.
