Well, that took a little longer than I anticipated. The wife put me on royal icing decorating duty. That was time consuming and tedious work. Oh well, it's done and so are the pizzelles.

RIP, brother! We will miss you.

Glenn - you are killing me with those pictures. Every time I see one, I head out to the pantry to grab a few of our Christmas cookies. :)

:cookiemonster::drool::drool::hungry:...Are you allowed to have any Glenn? :)

Thanks again Paul. I'm sure it was a great send off for a great man. Drop in when time allows and say HI! Doors always open and beers always cold:D.

They look wonderful Glenn:thumbsup:. Between the cookies and the pizzelles, my diet just went out the window. Put on 5 lbs. just seeing them.

The missus and I took the daughter and grandkids up to the Big Apple for the day. Went to the Radio City Music Hall show, saw the Rockerfeller Plaza Christmas Tree, Had lunch at the wife's cousins old restaurant (great hamburgers),took them for a subway ride and cab ride(first for the grandkids), Macy's for some ornament shopping(picture of the daughter, grandkids and the Grinch), then to Times Square to see the crowds of people and the naked cowgirls(ugh)...long day but a good one. :D

 Morning Rob, CODs&Ds. I just finished breakfast but those pictures are making me hungry all over again!

We're readying the house for a buttload of visitors. The yard is going to remain dug up for the duration due to plumbing/septic system repairs so I have been charged with finding ways to make it look more.... festive? If that's possible!

I get my share but, most go to the neighbors.

Looks like a great time in NY, any time spent with the grand kids is well worth it. They look like they're having a memorable time.:)

I am competing in a 5 month long WWII bolt-action, open sights military surplus rifle match - you fire, scan and submit your targets (up to two targets a month) - and needed to get one in for December. Since I am shooting on the Soviet Team, I can use an M91/30 Mosin Nagant or a Finnish M39 - both are 7.62X54r caliber.

I grabbed my Finn M39 for today. While the barrel is dated 1944, the receiver ...was made in 1895 by the Chatellerault Arms Factory in France under contract by the Russians. As such, the rifle actually is classified as an antique and requires no paperwork to own or sell. For me, though, I carry it on my Curios and Relics records anyway.

Not a great score but I haven't fired this rifle - less than 5 rounds before today - and I now have a better sense of how it shoots. Hopefully, I will get out next week and fire another record target.
