It won't be as fast to adjust as my slider but I use this for mostly rough work.

 

My slide bars would contact the back of the frame

 

As long as that saw sat at 90 it wouldn't bother me.

 

I am focused on making it fit under a bench or "inside" rollaround bench, so height is a primary concern for this potential design. The small Veritas cyclone and a 20-ga brute can will be ~24 inches tall and ~$24, and the cyclone lid with with hoses attached will add maybe 4 more inches, and is only $25.

So complete, compact setup for ~$50.

The Oneida DD and steel can would be ~$100 ~$150 and require ~35 inches vertical space before the hose is even attached vertically, for at least another 8-10 inches I imagine.

 

But there are 89+ other settings. Because miter saw.

 

While all settings are important this is not the saw I use for trim. So while its a little tight to adjust due to balancing between ease of transport and use and function of the saw .

 

And done.


Little heavy for a one man lift. Might add some handles on a side.
60 dollars all together and would probably work well for someone with limited space in their garage. Could be built with only a table saw and impact. I did use to joiner to clean up the 2x .

 

Looks pretty cool! How do you like the DeWalt Impact?

 

Dewalts 20v are my favorite so far and they are brushless so the run time is impressive. When I swapped to the lithium ion a few of dewalts features were what kept me with dewalt. The actual batteries had a charge gauge instead of having to put it in a tool. Overall I have zero complaints about them.

Awesome. I've been thinkingout getting getting the above kit for myself for Christmas/Birthday present.

 

The impact driver in general is one of the greatest inventions in tools ever. I love mine.

I'd been looking at this combo kit.

 

Right. Will do def explore both options.

 

I like the belt clips I bend them so they catch on my tool belt, they work well on ladders and roofs.

 

SAFETY*

 

Finished installing two pendant lights over the island. Replaced a single light fixture so wiring for one was present, though had to move the junction box less than a foot away to center it over the island, then ran 12/2 from there to the second box.
Had fairly good access via the lower attic so wasn't overly difficult, though now the wifey wants a dimmer switch installed, lol.
