Drove 14 hours today, 12 of which were full to empty tank highway miles. Averaged 21mpg and truck ran great.

One thing i've noticed is that my manual does not like to be cold. It is very "clunky" 1st through 3rd gear cold but once up to operating temp, it shifts like butter.

Are those aftermarket spindles or did you paint your OEM ones?

 

What gear oil are you running? If its not a synthetic, consider the Redline MTL. It will make a difference in all conditions, not just cold temps.

 

I am planing on upgrading my wheels and tires I am wanting to get 18/9 wheels with a -12 offset. On my 98 Tacoma with a 2.5 leveling kit. Will I be able to fit 33s or something close to a 33

 

Rolled mine through the central mountains of idaho. In the snow, going up and down valleys and through canyon roads with 35s...got like 16. Oh well

 

Wheres the exhaust? Did you cut it or relocate? Hows the ride now?

 

I get 14 on flat roads on 32s real truck

 

I'm running Amsoil in everything. I've seen alot of people talk about Redline but all of the test data I've read shows that Redline performed poorly in the cold and didn't do better in the heat.

 

Amsoil FTW! I ran that in everything on my old truck. Expensive but I could tell it made my transmission shift smoother.
